financial decisions with a strategic vision
ABOUT US
At LatinPons, we connect shareholders, creditors, capital, teams, and markets through strategic financial advisory services. We support companies and their leaders in Central America and the Caribbean in their most critical decisions: negotiations and acquisitions, strategic alliances, operational and financial restructurings, and corporate strategy. We believe that true value isn’t generated by numbers alone—it’s built on relationships of trust, honest dialogue, and a deep understanding of the people behind every business. Our international experience spanning more than 15 years has taught us that the best results come when financial discipline and human connection go hand in hand. At LatinPons, we don’t just advise—we partner. We sit alongside our clients, understand their reality, and work to turn their challenges into opportunities for growth and legacy.

Our Founder
CHRISTIAN L. CABRAL
With over 20 years of international professional experience, Christian Cabral founded LatinPons to offer his clients the expertise he has gained leading high-impact transactions, restructurings, and strategic processes on both sides of the Atlantic.
His international career spans the United States, Europe, Russia, and Latin America. During his years abroad, he led the European acquisitions strategy for a Japanese Sogo Sosha with global revenues exceeding US$50 billion—coordinating operations from Germany with a continental reach—advised companies and creditors on restructuring and distress processes, and participated in arbitrations before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
In his regional career, Christian has held leadership positions at MARTÍ—a diversified Dominican economic group with annual revenues exceeding US$1.7 billion—where he has served as CEO, Corporate Vice President, Vice President of Business, and Vice President of Finance.
In these roles, he led milestones that shaped the group’s growth: a strategic merger in the hydrocarbons sector that established MARTÍ as the leading fuel provider in the Dominican market; the regional expansion of its operations to Puerto Rico and Panama; the development and structuring of large-scale energy projects; and the comprehensive optimization of the group’s capital structure.
Throughout his career, he has participated in corporate transactions—acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures—totaling more than US$3 billion in value across various industries and countries.
His experience in corporate governance spans more than a decade of participation on boards of directors and executive committees, as well as strategic committees across sectors as diverse as energy, hydrocarbons, the securities market, financial services, and hospitality. He has represented the interests of local and international shareholders, chaired audit and risk committees, and served as an independent board member for investment funds and brokerage firms in the Dominican market.
A graduate in Finance and Economics from the University of Notre Dame, Christian brings an international and multisectoral perspective that sets LatinPons apart in the market. Beyond his role as an advisor, he maintains an active presence in business associations, executive boards, and foundations across the region, contributing to the strengthening of the private sector and regional competitiveness.
On a personal level, Christian is passionate about cooking, a lover of good coffee, and an avid sailor—a sport that combines discipline and strategy.
